Oh Boy our trip to St. George Utah was an eventful one. We love our families and miss them like crazy but I think we will be staying put over the holidays from here on out. We left at 8:30 a.m because we knew there would be a winter storm so we wanted to get on the road as soon as possible. We were plugging along great until Snowville when we almost got into a pile-up, but with Jared's quick reflexes he drove us down into the median where we got stuck. After 20 min's of going back and forth we were free of the median but then the highway was closed down and we were stranded on the highway with approx. 200 other vehicles due to a complete white out! Finally, the highway patrol showed up and plowed a way for all of us to turn around. Hooray - we were back on the road - but we needed to take a 2 1/2 hour detour due to the road closure. Needless to say we arrived SAFELY to our destination and were incredibly grateful! It only took us 20 hours - instead of the normal 9 hours.

My favorite thing about the holidays in St. George is going to Tuacan to watch the live nativity. It is amazing. They do it live with animals and actors and music. I love and miss it now that we no longer live there - so I took the opportunity to go while we were visiting. Plus, they have the best Santa around. What better way to start the Christmas season - watching the birth of our Savior, seeing the light in your kids eyes while they sit on Santa's lap, and drinking hot coco while listening to Christmas music all in one special night.
