Ohhh.... She's Getting So Big!

Happy Birthday, Laurel!
We celebrated her 1st birthday on Feb. 25th at ACC with friends and students.
She stuck so much frosting up her nose that it was still coming out the next day!
We can't believe it's been a year, what a joy she is!

Welsey turned 3! (on January 19th) We celebrated with our friends at McDonald's playland, or PicDonal's as Wesley would tell you. It was tons of fun and we are so thankful for the community God has blessed us with.

Today, we went to the parade in Kenai with 3 other families. Between us, there were 13 kids...and they sure love being together! Our baby Laurel is in the stroller on the left side of the picture.

It was a very special Sunday last weekend. ECCAK (Evangelical Covenant Church of Alaska) held their annual conference at ACC. During the worship service on Sunday, our good friend and campus pastor, Curtis Ivanoff (currently on sabattical at North Park Theological Seminary), dedicated Wesley and Laurel to the Lord.

An ACC student holds Laurel. All of the girls love to hold babies. This student crocheted Laurel's hat.

The day after Laurel was due, we decided maybe a little ride would get things moving along. So, Meghan and I set out on a crazy snowmachine ride! No, we took it quite slow but perhaps it helped as she was born a couple mornings later:) FYI: Lower 48=snowmobiles; AK=snowmachines

Homer is about a 2 hour drive south for us. The views are just spectacular and so we keep posting them. These pictures were taken by a friend, Louisa Jones. Also, each winter, many bald eagles congregate in Homer as one woman has continued to receive special permission to feed them.

The days are finally starting to grow longer here in Soldotna. And, the days have been just beautiful lately! It has been clear, sunny, and cold!!! It was -27 degrees on the way to work this morning.

This year, we are staying put for Christmas. We will miss family but are glad not to have to travel this year and to live out of suitcases. Family will be here soon enough when #3 is born! Below are some of the latest pictures from December...

Daddy and Wesley enjoy a moment together at the Christmas party ACC staff threw for the students. Wesley and Daddy called each other in the morning and decided to wear their Christmas shirts:)

It has now become an annual tradition in our home for the boys to help us make a ginger bread house. They love making it and get quite a sugar high by eating as they go!

Before the students left for break, some of the ACC staff and students played a great game of broomball before posing for this picture. Merry Christmas!
